Date Announced for Disney's STAR WARS: The Force Awakens Tsum Tsums

Plastic Disney Tsum Tsum Collection featuring Classic Disney, Pixar & Disney XD characters

If you've been anywhere near a Disney store recently then I'm sure you're aware of the recent phenomenon that is Tsum Tsums. These furry creatures have taken over the homes of many & destroyed countless wallets along the way.

Coming in plastic multipacks or more than affordable single plushies, the Disney themed potatoes keep multiplying by the second. Even super hero & sci-fi fans need not feel left out as the adorable collectables come in both MARVEL Super Heroes & STAR WARS variants!

STAR WARS fans were delighted when they were treated to cute squidgy versions of their favourite original trilogy characters, but it didn't end there as Disney then released STAR WARS: The Phantom Menace Tsum Tsums (to the dismay of some). Even if you hate Lucas' first installant in the Prequel Trilogy at least now you can throw Jar Jar at a wall without causing a dent.

However it would appear that Disney is not done with their intergalactic Tsum Tsum ventures as the company recently announced their upcoming STAR WARS: The Force Awakens collection. The mini collection consists of fan favourites Rey, Rey Jakku Headgear, Finn Stormtrooper, Finn Resistance, Poe Dameron, Kylo Ren, First Order Stormtrooper, Captain Phasma & of course BB-8. There will also be medium variants of Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma & BB-8 as well as Big BB-8 & Kylo Ren Tsums.

STAR WARS: The Force Awakens Mini Tsum Tsums

The Sequel Trilogy potatoes were announced to have a rather fitting & festive Japanese release date of the 4th of May, otherwise known as May The Fourth Be With You. As lovely as this is was for Japanese fans, it left American & European fans of the force in the dark(side) as to whether or not they too would be festively sipping their blue milk alongside their Force Awakens Tsum Tsums on STAR WARS day. Sadly, the answer is no. We shall just have to enjoy our STAR WARS themed parties & marathons TFA Tsum Tsumless this year. However, the good news is that today Disney finally announced the European & American release date for the collection, which is the not-so-faraway June 21st. So don't worry Resistance & First Order fans, you'll be able to fill your room up with lil' BB-8's & cranky Kylo's soon enough!

STAR WARS; The Phantom Menace Tsum Tsums advertising Tsum Tsum Tuesdays

This June 21st release date falls on the third tuesday of June, which is no coincidence & ties in with Disney's new 'Tsum Tsum Tuesdays' regime. This new biweekly release schedule promises us new Tsum Tsums twice a month, with new collections being released on the first & third tuesdays of every month, guaranteed. This is good news for Tsum tsum fans as it means you will never be without new Tsum Tsums to look forward to! It may not be so good to the wallet of a hardcore collector however.
